The Rogers Royals dominated the flow of the game but had to scramble from behind to defeat Monticello-Annandale-Maple Lake 3-2 on Thursday evening in Monticello.
Down 2-1 after two periods, the Royals snapped a three-game skid as Trent Fredrickson scored at 4:23 of the third and Sam Libke got the go-ahead goal at 8:18, with assists from Vinny Billing and Shane Smith, respectively.
Rogers (4-5) outshot the Moose 47-16, including 20-3 in a first period that ended 0-0. There only two power play in the game with Rogers going 0-for-2.
Dustin Schoepke scored for the Royals in the second period, while Hunter Norgren and McRae Haney connected for MALM (3-6).
Jackson Nelson, Rogers goalie, made 14 saves. Nathan Isaacson of MAML stopped 44 of 47.
Rogers will play at Bloomington Jefferson on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
