Rogers boys trip Anoka 5-4 on Schoepke overtime goal

Dustin Schoepke delivered the game-winner as the Rogers Royals snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-4 overtime win over the Anoka Tornadoes at home Tuesday evening.

Schoepke notched two goals and two assists. His goal 4:11 into overtime was assisted by Travis Limoseth and Ryan Puetz.

Puetz knocked in two goals and Sam Libke had the other one for Rogers (5-9), while Jackson Nelson stopped 22 of 26 shots.

Michael Talbot scored twice and Taylor O’Neill and Alec Seeger one each for Anoka (7-5). Goalie DJ Nigh faced 23 shots, stopping 18.

Rogers will host Chisago Lakes on Saturday at 7 p.m.
