Dodge County Wildcats Boys program had it's 3rd annual, "Stick it to Cancer" event fundraiser this past Saturday as The varsity played host to visiting Richfield and Junior Varsity played host to visiting Hudson.

What was neat about this year's event - is that there were 4 separate teams on the ice after the Varsity game and before the Junior Varsity game began to hold a tribute to those affected by cancer. DC Varsity, DC JV, Hudson JV & Richfield Varsity all participated in the luminary event held after the Varsity game. All 4 teams were asked to go on the ice and hold a candle - the team's formed a ribbon on the ice with lit candles as the Ice Arena turned down the lights.

From the Dodge County coaching staff, "It was a surreal experience - really puts things into perspective to see 4 different teams all competing to be the best team on the ice and coming together as one for a phenomenal cause. It is a memory that we are glad to have had and be a part of. Special thanks to all of those who helped make this event such a successful one."

The Dodge County Wildcat - boys program will donate all funds raised this next week at the Rochester Cancer telethon.
