Jindra returns to Notre Dame as coach

Former Burnsville standout will serve as volunteer assistant for Irish

T.J. Jindra, a former Burnsville standout who was a captain at Notre Dame, will return to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach for Jeff Jackson.

Jindra, 27, spent the past two seasons as the boys' prep assistant coach at Shattuck-St. Mary's.

Jindra, who played his freshman high school season for Faribault, played in 150 career games for the Irish as a defensive-minded forward who excelled as a penalty killer and shot blocker.
