Red Knights control Jaguars in 4-0 win.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- The first period was slow and disjointed.

After that, Benilde-St. Margaret's dominated Bloomington Jefferson, outshooting the Jaguars 39-2 over the final 30 minutes to record a 4-0 victory.

Even though the numbers showed the Red Knights dominating the game, they did not get on the scoreboard until 50 seconds remained in the second period when Alex Webert scoring his first goal of the season.

BSM's second goal came just 13 seconds later as Dylan Hoen, who set up Webert's goal, scored his fifth goal of the season to second his team into the second intermission with a two-goal lead.

Jefferson goalie Karl Huther did all he could to keep his team in the game, stopping the first 16 shots he faced before giving up the two goals late in the second period.

He would do much the same in third period as the hosts racked up 26 shots on goal, but could not manage to add their third goal until James Norkosky scored with 2:52 to play in the game.

Once again, BSM came back with a quick goal as Joe Collins scored his team-leading 16th goal of the season just 48 seconds later.

The Red Knights, who had a 44-7 advantage in shots on goal, did not allow shot on goal over the game's final 21 minutes.

Alex Brigino was the recipient of the solid defensive effort by his teammates as he won his seventh game of the season and notched his fourth shutout, extending his scoreless streak to 96:48.

After playing three games this week, the Red Knights are now idle for nine days before travelling to Farmington, Jan. 19, for a 5 p.m. game against the Tigers at Schmitz-Maki Arena.
