FARMINGTON, Minn. -- Jake Leonard and Dylan Hoen each scored twice and Jerome Newhouse and Jordan Roo both tallied three points as Benilde-St. Margaret's returned from a 10-day layoff for a 7-0 junior varsity win over Farmington.
Leonard's first goal opened the scoring, five minutes, 38 seconds into the contest and Hoen scored 49 seconds later to make it a 2-0 game.
The Red Knights dominated the first period, outshooting their hosts 11-4 in the opening 15 minutes, and outshot them 16-5 in the second period with Hoen making it a 3-0 game, 4:25 into the stanza.
Newhouse then scored on BSM's only power-play chance of the game with six minutes remaining in the middle frame and Leonard's second goal of the game, with 3:58 to play, sent the Red Knights into the second intermission with a 5-0 lead.
James Norkosky would put the game into running time, 3:09 into the third period, and Roo, after missing the last eight game, finished off his three-point night with his fourth goal of the season at 6:03.
With the Red Knights holding a 33-13 advantage in shots on goal, Alex Brigino wasn't busy in the BSM goal but he did record his third consecutive shutout and extended his shutout streak to 139:36
The Red Knights return to action with another road game, Saturday, when they face Metro West Conference foe Bloomington Jefferson at the Bloomington Ice Garden, beginning at 1 p.m.
