Roo scores twice, Metcalfe tallies four points in victory.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Jordan Roo scored twice and Lukas Metcalfe and Jake Leonard both assisted on three goals as the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity handed Bloomington Kennedy a 7-2 defeat.

Leonard helped set up the first two goals of the game. He and Metcalfe assisted on Alex Webert's goal, six minutes, 18 seconds into the game, and then Leonard set up Metcalfe less than three minutes later to give the Red Knights a 2-0 lead.

With the opening period coming to a close, BSM held a 14-2 advantage in shots on goal but they allowed Alex Arnold to get free in the neutral zone to take a long outlet pass from Logan Voigt and, from there, Arnold broke into the Red Knight zone on the left side and scored with 28 seconds remaining on the clock.

The hosts came out of the game ready to go in the second period, scoring four times in the first 6:29 of the middle frame.

Roo was set up by both Leonard and Metcalfe for his first goal at 3:52 and, shortly thereafter, BSM went on its lone power play of the game.

Joe Collins would convert on that chance at 5:43 to set off a rapid stretch of three goals in 46 seconds as Max Jablonski follew the power-play tally just 25 seconds later and Roo's second goal came 21 seconds after Jablonski's tally.

Nick McCullen made sure the game would never go into running time as he scored 2:56 in the final period before Dylan Hoen enabled the Red Knights to regain their five-goal lead when he scored 45 seconds later.

BSM held a 49-8 advantage in shots on goal for the game, leading to its sixth consecutive win.

Next up is the first of four consecutive road games as the Red Knights hed to Victoria for an 11 a.m. game at the Victoria Recreation Center, Saturday.
