From a broken jaw to breaking expectations

Last year during the 2009-2010 season Moorhead had high expectations for Eric Brenk.

Unfortunately the then-sophomore only contributed 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) in 27 games last year.

Now, as a junior, Brenk has hit the weight room which has given the Spuds' forward strength and confidence - two things he has benefited from so far this 2010-2011 season.

Although Brenk broke his jaw during the Upper Midwest High School Elite League,  he has made his way back to the ice and immediately onto the scoresheet as he has three goals in Moorhead's two games.
