This week's slate of high school games include several key matchups in the north, where Greenway meets Hibbing/Chisholm for the first of their Iron Range Conference showdowns. Alexandra faces East Grand Forks and St. Cloud Cathedral in contests sure to affect the Class 1A landscape while St. Cloud visits a red-hot St. Michael-Albertville.

In the metro, Maple Grove hosts Minnetonka while Holy Family Catholic squares off with Wayzata. Delano travels to Buffalo, and Lakeville North hosts Duluth East in a rematch of the Class 2A championship game from two years ago.

But this weekend's Edina Holiday Classic will be the epicenter of the Minnesota prep hockey scene as four teams ranked in the top 10 of the Class 2A coaches' poll descend upon Braemar Arena for a round-robin format sure to entice even casual fans.
