Flyers edge Eagle boys in OT

The Windom Area boys hockey team took a disappointing loss Tuesday in the first game of the Waseca Holiday Tournament, falling 4-3 in overtime to the Sioux Falls Flyers.
The Eagles battled to take the lead late in the third period on goals by Joe Voth and Mitchell Baumhoefner but with just 50 seconds left on the clock Sioux Falls tied the game at 3-3 and sent things to overtime.
In the overtime, Sioux Falls' Jeremy Tordsen scored at the 3:41 mark, giving the Flyers the win.
Windom outshot Sioux Falls 27-25 in the game. Ben Stubbe finished with 21 saves in the loss.
