VICTORIA, Minn. -- Benilde-St. Margaret's and Chanhassen played more than half of the game to a scoreless tie and, when someone got on the scoreboard, it was the Storm.

However, after falling behind with six minutes, 55 seconds to play in the second period, the Red Knights scored 11 seconds later and took the lead for good before the period was out and went onto a 4-1 win in their Metro West Conference opener.

BSM controlled much of the play as they held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal and had three power-play chances before Chanhassen took a 1-0 lead.

But James Norkosky responded by scoring just 11 seconds later and, with 3:33 to play in the middle stanza, Lukas Metcalfe put BSM ahead to stay with his team-leading eighth goal of the season.

The score remained 2-1 until midway through the final period when Caelan Woog was set up by Metcalfe for a 3-1 lead and the Red Knights put the game away with 25 second remaining Jack Rigley cleared the puck from the BSM zone and Norkosky chased down the loose puck before scoring into an empty net.

BSM held a 21-12 advantage in shots on goal and Jack Sawyer picked up the victory in goal by stopping 11 shots.

The Red Knights are back in action, Saturday, when they will take on Minnetonka at the Pagel Activity Center beginning at 5 p.m.

Lukas Metcalfe scored the game-winning goal and assisted on an insurance goal.
