Eden Prairie finds third period goal to thwart Edina upset.

Eden Prairie 4, Edina 3. The Class 2A, No. 1 Eagles proved their top rank behind a hat trick from Jack Jensen and a third period goal by Jarod Blackowiak to extend an eight-game winning streak. Golden Gophers commit Casey Mittelstadt tallied two assists for Eden Prairie. Jake Boltmann, Lewis Crosby and Ben Brinkman scored for Class 2A, No. 2 Edina and goaltender Garrett Mackay stopped 32 pucks. Nick Wiencek turned aside 37 of 40 shots for the Eagles.

Blaine 2, Hill-Murray 0. Joe Daninger's 35-save shutout helped Blaine upset Class 2A, No. 6 Hill-Murray. Will Hillman netted a power play goal in the first period with assists from Lincoln Erne and Bryce Brodzinksi, while Nate Olson scored on an empty net in the final minute of play. Jake Begley stopped 24 of 25 for the Pioneers. 

Coon Rapids 2, Osseo 1. After two scoreless periods, Coby Timm got Osseo on the board first, but it was Tyler George who tied the game and Travis Hess who clinched the victory for Coon Rapid with 18 seconds left in regulation. Cardinals netminder, Ty Hanson, stopped 21 of 22 shots, while the Orioles’ Jordan Mazzitelli made 29 saves.

Apple Valley 5, Hastings 4. Ryan Gale completed his hat trick off a feed from Parker Jamison, who notched his third assist of the game in the third period to secure the win for the Eagles. Hastings’ Peter Meyer brought the Raiders within a goal with two minutes, 41 seconds left in the game. Luke Larson finished with two assists for Hastings.

Ely 4, Bagley/Fosston 1. The Flyers’ Griffin Brovold scored 27 seconds into the game, but sophomore Nick Mattila’s hat trick pushed Ely to victory. Manttila scored twice in the third period with assists from Ted and Joe Pierce; Joe finished with three points and scored the Timberwolves’ other goal. Bagley/Fosston goaltender Ben Thoma stopped 51 of 55 shots, while Mark Killoran turned aside 15.

Chaska 6, Benilde-St. Margaret’s 5 (OT). Billy Bronson’s second goal of the season couldn’t have been more timely as the sophomore netted the game-winner five minutes, four seconds into overtime. Rhett Pitlick had three points for the Hawks and Bronson McLeod tallied a goal and two assists for the Red Knights.

Blake 4, Minnehaha Academy 3 (OT).  Blake Weyerhaeuser lit the lamp with two minutes, 32 seconds left in overtime to clinch Blake the upset over Class 1A, No. 12 Minnehaha Academy. Charlie Ankeny notched assists on Blake’s final three goals, including Bennett Hawley’s tying goal with nine seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Alex Evenson and Michael Spinner both had two assists for the Redhawks.

North Branch 7, Princeton 2. Cody Moline tied the game at 1-1 with 32 seconds left in the first period and harnessed that momentum the rest of the game, tallying a season-high six points for the Vikings. North Branch’s Ryan Byrkit had three assists and Trevor Mellen stopped 24 of 26 shots on the back end. Markus Abrahamson netted a goal for Princeton.
