Delano's Ben Myers, the state's top scorer, surpassed 100 points this season Friday night.

Delano 7, New Prague 0. Ben Myers surpassed 100 points this season after a four-point outing Friday night. Brian Halonen’s hat trick helped the top-seeded Tigers oust No. 8 New Prague in a Class 1A, Section 2 quarterfinal. The duo lead the state in points; Meyers has 103 on the season while Halonen has 89. Colin Dorzinski stopped 18 shots for the Trojans, and Jackson Hjelle posted a 31-save shutout. The Tigers will play No. 4 Blake on Tuesday in the semifinals. 

St. Paul Academy 4, St. Paul Highland Park 1. Peter Dadlez struck first for the Highlanders, but Matt Dahlseide denied No. 8-seeded St. Paul Highland Park the upset by playing a role in four unanswered goals for the top-seeded Spartans in the Class 1A, Section 4 quarterfinals. Dahlseide was sixth in the state with 69 points in 25 regular season games and distanced St. Paul Academy in the final period with a pair of goals. Dom Picciano had an assist on Dahseide’s first goal for his third point of the night. Andy Beran stopped 29 of 30 shots for the Spartans, while James Belitz-Shomion made 42 saves. St. Paul Academy will face No. 5 Totino-Grace on Wednesday in the semifinals.

Mahtomedi 3, Henry Sibley 0. Second-seeded Mahtomedi outshot No. 7 Henry Sibley 38-12 and overwhelmed the Warriors with three goals in the final two periods. Luke Posner tallied a goal and an assist, while Matt Vannelli and Sam Ayd netted the other goals for the Zephyrs. Charlie Harrity made 35 saves for Henry Sibley and Bailey Huber stopped 12 shots for his fourth shutout of the season. Mahtomedi advances to play third-seeded St. Paul Johnson.
