Player of the Week candidates for Feb. 27-March 4

Player of the Week candidates

Matt Dahlseide, St. Paul Academy & Summit School. Dahlseide tallied one goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over Totino-Grace. The senior forward is tied for seventh in the state in scoring with 32 goals.

Jackson Hjelle, Delano. The junior goaltender stopped all 28 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over Breck, recording his fifth shutout of the season.

Jesse Jacques, Hermantown. The senior forward, ranked second on his team in goals (23), assists (28), and points (51), scored two goals and added two assists in a 5-1 win over Greenway.

Nicky Leivermann, Eden Prairie. Leivermann scored a goal and added two assists in a 4-3 win over Holy Family Catholic. The senior defenseman netted the game-winner on a power play 9:55 into the third period.

Ben Meyers, Delano. The senior forward, who leads the state in assists (53) and points (99) and ranks second in goals (46), scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Blake.

Micah Miller, Grand Rapids. The senior forward tallied two assists then scored the game-winning goal 10:18 into the second overtime in a 3-2 win over Duluth East.

Grant Sawyer, Northfield. In a 3-2 win over Red Wing, Sawyer scored two goals. The senior forward netted his first goal 38 seconds into the third period then scored the game-winner 20 seconds into overtime.

Ben Serie, Luverne. The sophomore forward scored two goals in a 4-2 win over Hutchinson, including the eventual game-winner 5:38 into the third period.

Zach Stejskal, Grand Rapids. Stejskal stopped 45 of 47 shots for a .957 save percentage in a 3-2 win over Duluth East. The junior goaltender recorded the win in 69 minutes, 18 seconds of playing time.

Reid Waszczenko, Wayzata. The senior goaltender stopped 29 of 30 shots, recording a .967 save percentage, in a 3-1 win over Edina.
