By Ron Haggstrom, Star Tribune, 01/28/11, 5:48PM CST

Senior forward's family name has deep hockey history

The Schroeder name has been synonymous with St. Thomas Academy hockey the past decade.

Jordan Schroeder was a St. Thomas Academy in 2005 and 2006 and helped lead the Cadets to the State Tournament in both years - winning the Class 1A title in 2006.

Zach, Jordan's younger brother, is currently finishing his senior season at the school after spending the last four years as a part of the Cadets' varsity hockey team. Zach was a member of the Cadets' 2008 Class 1A Championship team and also played in the Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League. He also plays baseball in the spring.
