Former NHLer could be next St. Louis Park coach

Shjon Podein interested in head coaching position if it is offered to him

With the 2010-2011 season being Tim Donahue's last as St. Louis Park's head coach, rumors have already started regarding his replacement with one big name surfacing.

Podein played 11 NHL seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues. He won the Stanley Cup in 2001 with Colorado.

The Rochester John Marshall and University of Minnesota-Duluth alumnus currently resides in St. Louis Park and has made his interest in the position known.
