Former Alexandria assistant coach, father of two Little Falls players dies from fall

According to an article from the Echo Press, Verd Anez died last night (Monday, Jan. 31) after falling through the roof of a pole shed in rural LIttle Falls.

Anez, 46, was a former assistant coach for the Alexandria girls hockey team and was attempting to remove snow when he fell.

Anez's daughter, Michelle, played at Alexandria, and his two sons, Mike and Mark, currently play for the Little Falls varsity boys team.

Due to the circumstances, the boys varsity game between Little Falls and Alexandria originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 1, has been postponed until Saturday, Feb. 12.
