Hermantown has taken turns this season as the top-ranked Class 1A team but has more commonly settled in at the No. 2 position. Not the case for Section 5A as the Hawks soar into the top-seed.

The section playoffs bracket was released on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

• No. 9 - Sauk Rapids-Rice
• No. 10 - Legacy Christian
• No. 11 - North Branch
• No. 12 - Pine City/Rush City
