No one can really question Blaine's Jonny Brodzinski's love of hockey after this weeked.

The senior forward scored one goal in Blaine's state tournament quarterfinal 3-2 loss to Edina on Thursday, March 10, then contributed two goals during the Bengals 4-3 double overtime loss to White Bear Lake in the consolation tournament on Friday, March 11, capping off his high school hockey career.

Shortly following Friday's loss, Bodzinski and his family headed north and arrived in Fargo, N.D. around 1 p.m. to join the Fargo Force of the USHL and was in the starting lineup at Scheels Arena that night for the Force.

According to USHL regulations, a player must participate in a minimum of 10 games with a team to earn 'veteran status' which allows that player to return next season. As Fargo owns his USHL rights, Brodzinski chose to participate in the last 10 games of the regular season for the Force.

Brodzinski also played his second USHL game for the Force on Saturday before heading back down to the Twin Cities area to be apart of the Mr. Hockey Banquet -- in which he was one of 10 finalists.
