Early signing day draws a crowd but at least one opted to keep looking

The first day of an early signing period brought out the pens and smiles at several schools. But a late flurry of interest has Elk River's Ronald Audette reopening his search.

Wednesday was the first day of a new three-day early signing period for college football. 

At Rosemount High School, a trio of linemen signed letters of intent, with Jacob Smith heading to the Gophers and two others to South Dakota State. Read David La Vaque's account.

Over at Woodbury, David Alston made it official:  Nebraska. Jim Paulsen has the report.
