Mahtomedi 4, Tartan 3 (OT). Charlie Bartholomew netted the game-winner 4 minutes, 45 seconds into overtime with help from teammate Joe Paradise who assisted the goal and had one of his own in the first period. Zephyrs goalie Bailey Huber stopped 35 of 38 shots to help Mahtomedi, ranked second in Class 1A, deal Tartan first Metro East loss of the season. Justin Thompson tallied a goal and an assist for the Titans.

Wayzata 3, Hill-Murray 1.  With the game tied 1-1 entering the third period, Griffin Ness scored his second goal of the game on the penalty kill to give the Trojans the lead. Luke Fairchild's power play goal in the final two minutes denied the Pioneers the chance for an equalizer. Colin Schmidt assisted all three Wayzata goals, while Troy Tischler scored Hill-Murray's lone goal.

Irondale 3, Totino-Grace 2 (OT). The Knights stayed unbeaten in the Northwest Suburban West Division and have won five straight after Tyler Eskro's game-clinching goal. Ryan Solz netted the tying goal off a feed from Gunner Bourassa. The duo finished with two points apiece, along with Totino-Grace's Thomas Jerich who had a goal and assist in the first period. 

Hopkins 2, Holy Angels 1. Hopkins goaltender Bobby Wilson stopped 16 straight shots through the final two periods to help the Royals secure their first win of 2018. Jack Slattery and Ross Nordean netted one goal each in the middle period, while Freddie Macciocchi scored the Holy Angels goal.
