Red Knights 68-shot barrage leads to 8-0 win.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Jake Hankinson posted a four-point night and had nine shots on goal to lead a 68-shot performance and the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity claimed an 8-0 win from Bloomington Kennedy.

Although Will Thompson scored just two minutes, 32 seconds into the game, the Red Knights would not score again until 5:55 remained in the second when Jake Hankinson scored from the left point on BSM's 39th shot on goal of the game.

Although it took nearly 22 minutes for the Red Knights to get their second goal, it took just 42 seconds to get their third as Charlie Deterding scored the first of his two goals and, with 29 seconds remaining in the second period, Charlie Johnson's first goal of the season made it a 3-0 game entering the second intermission.

Will Thompson scored his team-leading 14th and 15th goals of the season.

The third period saw BSM score four more times, opening the period with Hankinson scoring on the game's lone power play, 2:34 into the final frame.

Sam Siegel-Horne followed by scoring his first goal of the season to send the game into running time and Deterding and Nic Dokman closed out the scoring.

Jack Olson recorded his second shutout of the season while collecting his seventh win of the season. He also added an assist for his first point of the season.

The Red Knights play three games in four days this week, beginning with Tuesday's Metro West Conference game at Chanhassen, slated to begin at 5 p.m.
