Farmington 3, Eagan 2, OT. Zach Willis played the overtime hero, scoring his 12th goal of the season just 38 seconds into the extra frame to send the Tigers home with the win. The goal was Willis’ second of the game, as his first goal came in the first period to put the Tigers up 2-0. Quinn Rudrud scored the Tigers’ first goal and assisted on Willis’ goal less than two minutes later. Cole Peplinski scored both Wildcat goals as Brandon Toussaint made 22 saves. The Tigers’ Kenneth Lacroix stopped 26 shots.
Edina 3, Centennial 2. Down 2-0 after the first period, the Hornets scored three unanswered goals on special teams, the first by Jett Jungels on a short-handed goal midway through the second. Lewis Crosby then tallied two third-period points on the power play, scoring a goal to tie the game before assisting on the game-winner with less than two minutes remaining. The Hornets’ Garret Mackay made 20 saves in the win, while Travis Allen stopped 33 shots for the Cougars. Lucas McGregor assisted on both Cougar goals.
Totino-Grace 1, Holy Angels 0. It took nearly 35 minutes for either team to score, and that first goal by the Eagles’ Ben Palmer would stand to be the winner. Will Larson earned the shutout with 15 saves. The Stars’ Brendan Pasdo stopped 24 shots.
Forest Lake 4, Park of Cottage Grove 1. Dalton Saltness led the Ranger offense with three points, assisting on the game’s first goal late in the third period before extending the Ranger lead with a goal and power play assist in the third. Jacob Zowin tallied a goal and assist in the win as Brady Peterson stopped 26 shots. Luke Maul made 13 saves for the Wolfpack as Bailey Hein scored the Wolfpack’s second-period goal.
Bloomington Jefferson 7, Bloomington Kennedy 3. Tied at 2 goals apiece entering the third period, the Jaguars used a five-goal third period to defeat the Eagles. Five Jaguars recorded a multi-point night, with Princton Oppong the lone Jaguar with three points. Oppong’s one goal came with just under one minute remaining in the second period before notching two assists in the third period. The Jaguars sent 55 shots on Eagles goaltender Peter Vodovnik, who made 48 saves. Goaltender Evan Redepenning made 18 saves in the win for the Jaguars. Zachary Workman netted both of the Eagles’ second-period goals.
