The CCM High Performance 16/17 Spring Festival is this weekend.

The 2018 CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Program season continues this weekend with the boys’ HP 16 and 17 Spring Festival at Plymouth Ice Center. The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs are designed to identify the best players in Minnesota and to provide the top players from each district or section the chance to play with and against the best players in the state.

The event runs Friday through Sunday. Players will be evaluated during the festival, and based on their performance, the top 54 at each age level will participate in the Final 54 Festival held April 19-22 at Plymouth Ice Center.

Participants at the Final 54 Festival will be evaluated to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival/camp, sponsored by USA Hockey. The national camp will involve the top players from each of the USA Hockey districts and will be used to identify the top performers in each age group for possible opportunities to represent the United States at advance levels of national and international competition.

“Reaching this stage of the High Performance evaluation process is a terrific accomplishment for these players, and it’s a great opportunity for them to take the next step in their development,” said High Performance Director Mike MacMillan. “We are so proud of all of these boys and girls as they continue to show why Minnesota continues to produce the most college hockey players in the country.”
