Minnesota plays prominent role in NHL Draft

State's popularity as hotbed of young talent is on the rise

Ten or more Minnesotans have been selected in the NHL Draft for eight straight years, including 18 last year.

Since 2000, there have been 22 Minnesotans have been selected in the first round.
