We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Maple Grove at Duluth East, Tuesday, Feb. 12, 7 p.m. It’s the last postseason tune-up for Duluth East (14-6-2) and Maple Grove (16-4-1, 7-3-0), which need to keep their engines humming after sputtering January — when the No. 6-2A Crimson dropped three games and the Greyhounds lost four times.

Blaine at Champlin Park, Thursday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m. Two streaking Northwest Suburban Conference teams meet in a game that also impacts seeding in Class 2A, Section 5. A victory for Champlin Park (17-5, 10-2) will show it's a contender for section title, while a win for Blaine (16-2-2, 8-1-1) may prove it's the favorite to secure the state bid.
