BSM junior varsity shutout by Knights

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- An undermanned Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity squad, with just 12 skaters, suffered a 3-0 loss to St. Michael-Alberville.

The visitors held a 24-14 advantage in shots on goal through two periods but the play of goalie Simon Goodmanson kept the Red Knights in the game.

It wasn't until the third period when the hosts got going, outshooting the Knights, 14-5, but they were still unable to solve STMA goalie Owen Ollhoff, who turned aside all 28 shots he faced.

Goodmanson finished the game with 26 saves to keep the game within reach of his team, which was led by Logan Lyke, who recorded eight of the team's 28 shots.

BSM returns to action tomorrow when they make up a postponed game with Chaska. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center.
