The Overtime Radio show reacts in period number one to the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights and St. Louis Park Orioles game this past Saturday. Usually a rivalry game, the circumstances surrounding the game with Jack Jablonski's injury, a community type atmosphere took over the St. Louis Park Rec Center. Many of Jablonski's former Minneapolis-Park Hockey Association members were on the ice playing for both teams and both sides of the stands came together for the common good of Jablonski and his family.
An astounding $13,000 was raised on the 'chuck-a-puck' fund raiser between periods. There were a large numbers of posters and banners on site and several "We've got Jabby" chants could be heard throughout the Rec Center.
Both coaches provide their post game feedback on what the game meant to their team, the Jablonski's and the game. As well, video of those interviews are provided with player feedback from the Red Knight's. We will see and hear from Jake Horton, Zack Hale and Tanner Ahlborn.
Period number two is a recap of the Minnetonka Skipper 5-3 win over the Moorhead Spuds on Friday night in Moorhead. We will hear from both coaches and the Skippers Jared Ridge who provided a spark for his Minnetonka team who was trailing 2-1 after two periods . His efforts helped the Skippers erupt with four third period goals to capture the win.
A big week of hockey stands before us, it starts with the streaming of the St. Louis Park and Totino Grace game on the OTSN.tv and Tim Kolehmainen joins for his take on the top ten games of the week.
