Two quick goals by the same line early in the second period helped the Rogers Royals defeat the Anoka Tornadoes 3-2 in the Schwan tournament semifinals on Friday in Blaine.
The Royals (8-2-1) will face Champlin Park (4-5) for the Bronze Division title on Saturday, 2:45 p.m., at Ridder Arena.
All the scoring took place in the second period.
Dustin Schoepke scored at :27 and 3:19, each time working with Nate Weber and Jacob Walker, for a 2-0 lead.
Anoka (4-5-1) drew even on goals by Travis Mashuga and Jordan Peterson, but Jason Roberge regained the lead at 10:19 with a goal assisted by Branden Cecil.
Rogers goalie Jackson Nelson stopped 30 of 32 shots and Anoka’s Nick Cameron was 27-for-30.
