Moore earns Atlantic Hockey player of the week honors

Former Red Knight records first career hat trick for Crusaders.

WINTHROP, Mass. -- T.J. Moore ('13) was named the Travel Team USA player of the week for the Atlantic Hockey Association.

Saturday, Moore recorded his first collegiate hat trick to lead Holy Cross to a 4-3 win over Princeton, extending the Holy Cross' unbeaten streak to eight games.

Moore opened Saturday's game with his seventh goal of the season, five minutes, four seconds into the opening period. His second goal, a power-play tally, gave the Crusaders a 2-0 lead and, after the Tigers tied the game, his third goal snapped a 2-2 tie with 7:17 to play in the middle stanza.

Through 18 games, Moore is second on the team with nine goals and 16 points as Holy Cross shares the conference lead with a 9-2-1 record.

As a Red Knight, Moore was a member of the team's 2012 Class AA state championship team. A co-captain in 2012-13, he was an honorable mention all-state selection and ranks fourth in career assists (93), and fifth in career goals (70) and points (163) at BSM.

In his four-year Red Knight career, T.J. Moore finished in the program's top five in goals, assists and points.
