• “Pray for Cade, Play for Cade” has been the season-long rallying cry for St. Cloud Cathedral. Student manager Cade Anderson, was diagnosed with cancer last fall. “At the beginning of the year they found a lump under his arm,” Brown said. “He’s been battling.” Brown said Anderson, a sophomore, drew the biggest cheers when championship medals were being awarded to the Crusaders after they defeated Alexandria 3-2 in the Section 6 final. “Even Alexandria, as disappointed as their players were, gave him a stick tap,” Brown said. Anderson’s brother, James, is a Crusaders junior forward.
