And the winner is...MN Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Parker Osborn, Holy Family. The junior forward has recorded points in 16 of 22 games this season, including in nine of the last 10. In a 6-2 win at Blaine on Feb. 5, Osborn scored twice to extend his team-leading goals total to 21 and added two assists. He tallied one goal and one assist shorthanded. 

Top performer candidates

Kyle Ahlschlager, Waseca. The junior forward recorded an impressive nine points in a scoring onslaught which saw 21 goals scored between Waseca and Fairmont on Feb. 3. Ahlschlager recorded a hat trick — scoring once each period — and six assists, including four in the final 11 minutes of regulation to bring the Bluejays back from a three-goal deficit to a one-goal lead. The Bluejays eventually lost to Fairmont 11-10 in overtime.

Eli Anderson, Fairmont. Nine Cardinals found their way onto the scoresheet in Fairmont’s exciting overtime victory against Waseca on Feb. 3 with Anderson leading the Cardinals to an 11-10 victory. The senior defenseman tallied five points, recording a second-period hat trick by scoring his first three goals consecutively within less than four minutes. Anderson added an assist early in the third period before playing the overtime hero and scoring the game-winning goal in the extra period.

Alex Sabev, Irondale. Sabev recorded his first shutout of the season on Feb. 3 as the Knights defeated Mounds View 3-0. The sophomore goaltender recorded 43 saves, his second highest total of the season. 

Carter Theissen, Breck. Theissen recorded his fifth multi-point game of the season on Feb. 1 as he led the Mustangs to a 6-1 win at Minnehaha Academy. The senior defenseman scored the first two goals of the game, including one on a power play. Theissen, who has earned assists on more than one out of every three Mustang goals this season, then assisted on three of the Mustangs’ final four goals.
